We have many years of experience installing voice and data cabling.  I started back in 1980 working for cabling contractors pulling telephone cable for Bell Canada, TTS & MTI in Sudbury, South Western Ontario and North Western Ontario. Installing Cat3 & 25 pair voice cabling was the norm, the cabling industry has progressed with technology over the years. Most and if not all the other cabling contractors test and certify for a link configuration and not a channel. The contractors link measurements are done with special equipment and patch cords that come with the tester. The network is usually installed weeks before the computers. As a result patch cords are often purchased at the cheapest possible price with no consideration for performance. Don't let cheap patch cords be the weak link, in your IT structured cabling system, whether that system is copper or fiber-based. Cheap patch cords will cause impedance mismatch between components and will result in signal reflections at low frequencies.

We use only brand  name "Made in Canada" cable from reputable wholesalers with high quality Beldon Jacks, wall plates, and patch panels. The jacks we typically use are the highest quality Cat-5E Jacks that Beldon makes - MDVO  model.
